I had the privilege of serving as the Inaugural Chair for International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) Student Council (SC), continuing as Chair for two additional years. I was also the Student Council ISCB Board of Directors Representative for two years, allowing me to gain contact with with some of the best Bioinformatics scientists. I have also been the SC Symposium Chair for two consecutive years and part of the organising committee of Visual Reflections on Science in ISMB Toronto (2008). Currently I am part of the Steering Committee for ISCB-Africa ASBCB Joint Conference on Bioinformatics, a contributor to the Computational Biology Wikiproject and Director for ITICO.org, a non-profit bioinformatics web services company.
