Today I am presenting at the European Grid Infrastructure meeting my presentation entitled “Bioinformatics Training in the Cloud“. This presentation is held in session 2 of “Going beyond grid to enable life science data analysis“. This presentation is available in the GOBLET training portal. In this talk I introduce the advantages and challenges of using cloud technologies for training in bioinformatics. I present experiences from brilliant bioinformaticians such as @BioMickWatson @pathogenomenick @CaroleAnneGoble @ctitusbrown and two examples of current implementations that promise to be successful. One of these examples is taken from a publication, recently published by @MVickySchneider et al on the NeCTAR cloud infrastructure.
