Dear Wise Men,
I know that there is still more than half a year until you visit me again, but this year, I am not only asking for gifts for myself, but something much bigger for all of us.
I ask that genomic medicine be recognised as a specialty in Spain, that its inclusion in its public health system becomes a reality, and that each hospital and clinic have the necessary resources to implement these life-saving technologies.
I call for genomic knowledge to spread to every corner of the country, ensuring that every person can benefit from personalised treatments and accurate diagnoses. I know that this is not a small wish, but I also know that it is possible, with everyone’s collaboration and effort.
In hopes of a healthier and more equitable future,
Manuel Corpas
Lecturer in Genomics
