#VizBi16 BioJS Tutorial Announced! – Heidelberg 8th March 2016

We are pleased to invite you to the #VizBi16 BioJS Tutorial, happening on Heidelberg 8th March 2016, preceding the VizBi Conference.

BioJS brings together a continuously growing community of developer and users interested in data processing and visualisation on a web-based environment. To date, it groups more than 40 collaborators across 4 continents. BioJS registry (http://biojs.io) is a centralised resource where more than 100 components can be showcased and discovered.

Intended Audience

This tutorial is designed for bioinformaticians and developers interested in presenting biological information on the web. The tutorial can be followed without knowledge of JavaScript, but basic programming experience is highly recommended.

Learning Objectives

After this course participants will be able to:

  • Utilise BioJS components and the BioJS registry
  • Apply basic BioJS concepts for data visualisation on the web
  • Develop new BioJS components
